Ebyline is a source for top of industry freelance writers. They specialize in freelance journalists but also source content writers for big brands, with over 2,000 writers on hand.
When Ebyline came to the Kloutfire team in late 2013, they had a successful product serving local papers and mags, but wanted to expand into brands. They needed to appeal to brand marketers, and they were ready to make a serious push.
We needed to make inroads into the brand marketing community, and we also needed to show off the skill of Ebyline’s writers. The solution was multifaceted. On the content side, we actively created blog articles around industry topics, interviewed brand and startup influencers, and showcased key pieces with chats with Ebyline’s writers. To maximize distribution of our new content, we managed social media accounts and gave each piece of content an advertising boost on Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin.
Ebyline’s Twitter following grew by more than 25% in the first 3 months. With the thought leadership they cultivated through content, they were able to sign up some major brands and introduce an entirely new customer base for their service.
