Use All Five was founded in 2006 by Levi Brooks and Jason Farrell, two graduates of the UCLA Design Media Arts program. They have worked on design and strategy projects with Google, Disney, Spotify, the Guggenheim, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA. I have worked closely with them on several projects since Spring 2015.
In Fall 2015 Use All Five shared with me a desire to increase their digital presence. They had worked with incredible clients over the past 10 years, but had not seized on every opportunity to promote their own agency. They wanted a creative way to become better known, while giving back to the design community from which they had come.
I created an interview series with creative minds in our field who were doing new things with design and technology. We started with personal connections and expanded to people we admired, and new people we had discovered. At the same time, I began posting daily content and managing communities on Twitter, Linkedin, and Facebook to cultivate an audience for our work.
Since I began, every interview is in the top 50 trafficked pages of the site, traffic from social media has increased 42%, and Use All Five has demonstrated thought leadership which proves useful when approaching new clients. The interview format has not only sated our curiosities, but enriched our work.
